We will play amazing music for your wedding ceremony and reception. Whatever your plans, we are brimming with ideas for weddings small and large. We happily travel and play wedding music every weekend in Sydney, Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands and the Blue Mountains. We even travel interstate and overseas!

Having sung since he could breathe, Tim lives for his musicality. At the age of 11 he became chorister leader of the St Mary’s Cathedral choir, Australia’s oldest and most prestigious choirs. Each year, out of the hundreds of singers who audition, the Sydney Conservatorium of Music accepts only a rare few to study vocals in the Jazz unit. Tim was one of the first males to ever enter this exclusive course. Tim has completed his Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in singing, plays guitar, writes his own songs and is regularly invited to perform all over the world. From Las Vegas to Nashville and Dublin – his music is followed and featured by celebrities such as Perez Hilton. Tim sings and plays guitar for Something Borrowed.
Ollie first started learning music at the tender age of 5 and is a master vocalist and guitarist in Something Borrowed. He is that rare type of musician who can play any style of music – but his passion is playing all the old blues, jazz and rock n roll classics. Ollie toured with original Blues Brother, Dan Aykroyd as Mr Aykroyd’s Music Director and lead guitarist. He was accepted to study jazz guitar as well as the exclusive jazz vocals course through the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and will complete his Bachelor of Music in 2014.
James professionally recorded and mixed all the music you hear on this web site in his recording studio. He also sings, plays guitar, saxophone, keyboard, bass and drums! James has shared the stage with industry greats like John Butler, Michael Bolton and Ten CC as well as working closely with engineers and artists like Michael Brauer (4 time Grammy winner and mixer of Coldplay, John Mayer, Jeff Buckley), Mike Stavrou (Sting, Elton John) and Deni Hines. James has a degree in Physics, Music (UNSW) and Audio Engineering from the School of Audio Engineering. James has a smooth tenor voice that is often compared to Sting and he can play anything from jazz to pub rock as well as an eclectic mix of pop hits. James loves singing and entertaining and he specializes in bringing life to the party through music.
International multi-instrumentalist, Singer, MC and DJ – Toby J, has been playing music his entire life. Starting at the age of 4, Toby began learning the violin under the direction of world renowned violin teacher Yasuki Nakamura. Whilst continuing with his violin studies, Toby started learning the saxophone at the age of 10. Toby has continued his studies at the Australian Institute of Music as a Performance Major in Jazz Saxophone and Classical Violin. Toby has toured Europe with his string quartet and performing at Bath Abbey, Australia House in London and the Opera House in Paris. He also rocked out as lead singer/guitarist with his band in Melbourne, Brisbane, Hawaii and Hong Kong. Toby performs regularly in Sydney with Something Borrowed and plays Saxophone, Violin Guitar, Vocals, DJ and MC
Growing up in a musical family, at a young age Josue learnt how to sing and play the guitar. With a flaming style, Josue brings life to his music with entertaining musical arrangements, soul fire musicians, and plenty of dance moves! Josue will soon complete his bachelor of music from the Australian Institute of Music and specialises in soul and RnB. Josue is a singer and guitarist in Something Borrowed.
With his versatile vocals, great guitar playing and sensational saxophone, there are few performers who can match Chris for the sheer range of music he can provide. Quiet jazz, easy listening guitar & vocals, swing-era crooning, rock & pop, all the dance classics & pub anthems; all are featured in Chris’s amazingly diverse repertoire. Plus he can MC and DJ!! Chris has performed solo for black-tie charity galas in front of 400+ guests, many large and small-scale corporate events, Christmas parties, birthdays and weddings. Chris plays Sax, Vocals/Guitar and is an MC and DJ for Something Borrowed.
Hailing from Sydney, Mike is a talented singer, guitarist and song writer. He specialises in soul and RnB. He loves performing hits by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Donny Hathaway, Quincy Jones and Earth Wind & Fire. Michael landed a spot on the hit TV show ‘The Voice Australia’, where under the mentor ship of ‘Coach Seal’, he made Seal’s top 6. His final performance of classic Beatles hit ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ was broadcast live to over two million people. Mike has also featured on X Factor. Mike is a singer and guitarist in Something Borrowed.
Sky is an original artist and songwriter who sings in Something Borrowed. Best known from the TV series ‘The Voice’ as an understudy with Team Seal, Sky is a mature singer with versatility and a passion for performing. Singing in gospel choirs her whole life, Sky was influenced by an eclectic range of artists including, pop princesses Mariah Carey and Beyonce to classic Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Her voice and pick of melody is effortless and unique within the industry yet malleable enough to sing in many different styles. Sky has a Bachelor of Contemporary Music Vocals from the Australian Institute of Music.
Vee has been singing her whole life and is a master of soul, RnB, pop and jazz. She grew up in Wollongong before spending a number of years in the UK where she recorded and performed with artists such as Roachford, Basement Jaxx and Soul II Soul. Firmly back in Sydney, Vee lends her soaring RnB vocals to Something Borrowed and is a seasoned performer.
You know when you hear a voice that sends shivers from the very first note? In a very pure way, like when you first heard Joni Mitchell or Eva Cassidy for the first time? Ellen possesses such a voice. Her sound is contemporary, yet soaked in the sentiment of the past. Ellen has a Bachelor of Music from the Australian Institute of Music and has been wowing audiences at local jazz clubs as well as knocking ‘em dead during a residency in New York. Singing in Something Borrowed, Ellen sings unique takes on works by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and Bob Dylan. Ellen performs a range of songs from many genres including jazz, pop, soul and blues.
Ash is a professional vocalist based in Sydney who sings with Something Borrowed. Studying music since she was 8 years old, ash has strong foundations in music, drama and live performance through her involvement in courses and productions at NIDA, ATYP, and NSW state drama ensembles. Her professional music theatre credits include roles in SEL/GFO’s productions of the Sound of Music and Annie, and Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver at Star City’s Lyric Theatre, as well as Alexander productions of Carmen at the Sydney Theatre and Les Miserables at NIDA’s Parade Theatre.
James has been drumming since before he can remember. With years of professional experience James prides himself on being able to cover numerous genres of music. James studied music at Wesley Institute learning from one of the best drummers in the country, Gordon Rytmeister (Australian Idol, James Morrison). Having drummed for Channel 7 TV show Australia’s Got Talent, James is a fun and energetic performer and brings life to the dance floor for Something Borrowed. James is the drummer in Something Borrowed.
“HD” is one of the most in-demand young bass guitar players in the Sydney music scene. After studying a year at the ‘James Morrison Jazz Academy’, he moved with a full scholarship to the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Studying under internationally renowned jazz musicians, “HD” has a unique blend of melodic finesse and uplifting groove. “HD” plays bass guitar and double bass in Something Borrowed.
Studying music from the age of 4, by 12 years old Emma was accepted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music high school before moving into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to study music at university level. Emma is decorated with awards and scholarships for being the “most outstanding student” (John Morrison) and attaining the highest marks as a musician through Sydney University. Emma plays keyboard and sings with ‘Something Borrowed’. She played keys for Channel 7 TV show ‘Australia’s Got Talent and through such experiences, has fortified her immense passion for her art. Emma is committed to maintaining a high standard and bringing energy and innovation to every performance.
Jeremy started playing violin at the age of 3 and is also an MC and DJ! Jeremy is your point of contact at for all email and phone enquiries right through to the day of your wedding. Armed with a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Masters of Marketing, and as the Commercial Manager for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Jeremy was the Executive Producer for the world premiere of “Star Trek and the Sydney Symphony” as well as producing and managing countless other shows and concerts at the Sydney Opera House. He is a wedding music specialist and the Music Director of Something Borrowed. Jeremy organises and plays music at weddings every single weekend which means that he is right up to date with ideas and all the latest trends – so you are in safe and very practiced hands. Jeremy will answer all your phone calls and email queries. He is the principal first violinist in Something Borrowed and features in all the video clips you see on this web page.
Dora grew up in Western Australia and started learning the violin when she was only little. She has a Post Graduate Diploma in Music from the Royal College of Music London and has played violin for Cate Blanchett and the Dali Lama. Dora is also a seasoned screen performer with onscreen roles in feature films, music videos and on prime time television. After finishing her studies in the UK, Dora moved to Sydney to continue her busy performing career. Dora is the principal second violinist in Something Borrowed.
Hanna was born into a family of musicians, her mother a flautist and her father a cellist. She began learning the cello and piano at age 3. At age 15, she toured Europe with an orchestra as principle cellist, performing in prestigious venues around the UK, Austria and Hungary. She then continued her studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, completing a Bachelor of Music. During her tertiary studies, Hanna explored the pop/classical genre, and performed and toured with Ronan Keating, Kylie Minogue, Seal and Guy Sebastian. A few career highlights include celebrity followers, such as Perez Hilton, a performance for Lady Gaga and a Grammy nominated collaboration with US “Dancing With the Stars”. Hanna is the principal cellist in Something Borrowed.
